Grammit is a Chrome extension that assists with grammar and writing.
AI Model Modes
You can configure the AI model in Options.
Local-Only: All corrections and chats are performed on your device. If your device does not support the local model, the request won’t run.
Local-First: Corrections and chats are attempted on your device first. If the local model isn’t supported or can’t complete the request, Grammit may fall back to a remote model (see "Remote Processing" below).
Remote-Only: All corrections and chats are performed by our remote model (see "Remote Processing" below).
You can switch AI models at any time on the Options page.
Remote Processing
Applies to Remote-Only and Local-First (when the local AI model is not supported on your computer).
We do not train on or store your writing or corrections.
Content is processed ephemerally to generate the result and is not retained after completion.
We may retain minimal, non-content technical logs (e.g., request timestamps) for reliability, security, and abuse prevention. These logs do not include your writing or corrections.
Options and Syncing
To support syncing across devices, your options and settings (e.g., chosen AI model mode) may be stored remotely.
Third-Party Services
Grammit's infrastructure runs on Google Cloud Platform. Grammit does not sell your data nor share it with advertisers.
